Golden Millet Spray is made from handpicked foxtail millet that is left on the stalk rather than stripped into loose seed. Because the grain stays attached to its stem, birds have to work at pulling kernels free, which turns feeding into a foraging activity rather than a passive meal. The millet is naturally lower in fat than many other seeds while still supplying protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. It contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The spray can be hung near a perch or set in an elevated dish; it should not be placed on the floor of the cage where it can become soiled. It is intended as a supplemental treat alongside a bird's complete daily diet, with fresh water always available.
