This food combines vitamin-fortified pellets with a blend of seeds, grains, dried fruits and vegetables to give cockatiels and lovebirds a varied daily diet. Ingredients such as white millet, oat groats, wheat, safflower and sunflower seeds, dehydrated apple, carrots and papaya are combined with added vitamins, minerals and live microorganisms. The mix of shapes, textures and flavors is intended to engage a bird's natural foraging instincts and help reduce cage boredom. It contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The food is packaged as a dry bagged blend meant to be offered daily in a clean feeding dish alongside fresh water and supplemental fresh produce. Uneaten food and the dish should be handled and refreshed regularly, and any unused portion stored sealed in a cool, dry place.
