Vitakraft Crunch Sticks are baked in three separate stages, with each stick dipped in a nutrient-rich coating that adds vitamins A, D3, E, riboflavin and B12 to a parakeet's diet. At the center of every stick is a natural wood dowel that encourages a bird to gnaw and chew, helping wear down the beak and providing enrichment even after the outer coating is gone. Each stick includes an attached clip so it can be secured directly inside a parakeet cage without extra hardware. The base recipe combines milled millet, wheat and calcium carbonate with a flavor-specific mix of fruit, seed or egg ingredients depending on the variety selected. Sticks are meant to supplement a parakeet's regular daily diet rather than replace it. Fresh, clean water should remain available whenever a stick is offered.
