Blood Stop Powder is packaged in a non-breakable plastic jar fitted with a shaker top for controlled, even application directly onto a wound site. The formula is built around ferrous sulfate, which aids clot formation when it contacts a bleeding surface, and is combined with ammonium alum, chloroxylenol, tannic acid and an absorbent base. It is labeled for use as an aid in controlling minor bleeding from superficial cuts and wounds, and after dehorning, across dogs, cats, horses, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and poultry. Application involves shaking the powder freely onto the affected area and repeating as needed, with bandaging afterward if additional protection is desired. Each jar holds 16 ounces of powder and ships in cases of 12 for barn, stable, kennel or farm first-aid supply use. The product is intended for external, topical use only.
