ChlorHex 2X Shampoo is a liquid, full-strength antimicrobial cleansing shampoo built around a 4% chlorhexidine gluconate base. It is formulated for use on dogs, cats and horses, combining penetrating agents and emollients intended to support skin and coat condition during routine bathing or dermatological care. To use, the coat is wetted thoroughly with water, shampoo is worked into a lather across the body, and the lather is left on the skin for five to ten minutes before a thorough water rinse. The procedure can be repeated as needed. The shampoo ships in a liquid bottle format and should be stored at room temperature, protected from light, to maintain its condition.
