DermaBenSs Shampoo is a soap-free, pH-balanced formula built around benzoyl peroxide, sodium thiosulfate (sulfur) and salicylic acid, three active ingredients chosen for their degreasing, keratolytic and follicular-flushing properties. A comprehensive ceramide complex, including phytosphingosine and cholesterol, is included to help moisturize, repair and restore the skin barrier alongside the active cleansing agents. Vitamin E is added as a natural antioxidant to stabilize the benzoyl peroxide, and the formula carries a mild herbal fragrance rather than added dyes or animal-derived proteins. The product is intended for topical use on dogs, cats and horses with oily, scaly or seborrheic skin conditions. It is applied to a wet coat, worked into a light lather, left on the skin for several minutes, then rinsed thoroughly, with use repeated a few times weekly or as directed. It comes packaged in a pump or pour bottle sized for routine grooming use.
