Keto-Diastix Reagent Strips for Urinalysis

by Bayer
  • Dual test: checks urine for both glucose and ketone in one strip
  • Visual read: compare pad color to the included reference chart
  • No equipment needed: results are read by eye, no meter required
  • Multi-species use: suited for dogs, cats, horses, and other companion animals
  • Protected packaging: bottled with a tight cap and internal desiccant

Keto-Diastix Reagent Strips are single-use plastic strips coated with chemical reagent pads that react to glucose and ketone (acetoacetic acid) present in urine. Each strip is dipped briefly into a urine sample, then the resulting pad color is compared to a reference chart printed on the package to gauge relative concentration. No meter or additional equipment is needed to read results. The strips ship in a bottle fitted with a tamper-evident cap and an internal desiccant that should remain in place to protect the reagents from moisture. The reagent formulation is produced in the United States and the strips are further processed and packaged in the United Kingdom. Strips are intended for in vitro diagnostic use only and should be stored according to package directions to preserve accuracy.
