Nolvadent Oral Cleansing Solution for Dogs & Cats

  • Active ingredient: 0.1 percent chlorhexidine acetate in a surfactant base
  • Flavor profile: peppermint-flavored formula for fresher breath
  • Application options: use as a direct oral rinse or with a toothbrush
  • Applicator tip: bottle design allows targeted application along the gum line
  • Storage: keep at controlled room temperature and protect from freezing

This liquid oral rinse is formulated with 0.1 percent chlorhexidine acetate in a peppermint-flavored, surfactant-based solution designed for daily use in dogs and cats. It works by helping to loosen and remove food particles and other debris from the tooth surface and gum line while leaving a fresh scent behind. The solution can be applied directly to the teeth and gums using the bottle applicator tip, or dispensed into a dish and worked into the mouth with a toothbrush. The formula includes FD&C Red 40 and Red 33 coloring and contains 6 percent ethyl alcohol by volume. It is intended for external oral use only and is not a substitute for professional veterinary dental care. Bottles should be stored at controlled room temperature and protected from freezing. Regular use is meant to complement, not replace, a broader oral health program overseen by a veterinarian.
