Oti-Clens is a liquid otic cleansing solution formulated for use in the ears of dogs and cats. The formula combines propylene glycol, malic acid, benzoic acid and salicylic acid with purified water, a menthol and citronella fragrance and simethicone to loosen and lift wax, dirt and debris from the outer ear. Each bottle comes with an applicator tip that snaps onto the bottle in place of the original cap for controlled, liberal application into the ear. After applying the solution, the base of the ear is massaged to help distribute it, and the visible portion of the ear is then wiped clean with a cotton ball or pad. The solution is intended for external use on the outer ear only and is not designed to reach deep into the ear canal. It is meant for routine hygiene rather than treatment of an existing ear condition.
