TrizChlor Flush is a water-based liquid that combines 0.15% chlorhexidine gluconate with patented TrizEDTA, a blend of tromethamine and disodium EDTA. The formula is alcohol-free and preservative-free and is buffered to a pH of around 8 for a gentle, ready-to-use solution. It is intended for topical use on dogs and cats as an ear flush, a wound irrigation rinse, or a cleanser for minor cuts and abrasions. Each bottle should be shaken well before every use. For ear application, the solution is applied to the ear canal and the base of the ear is gently massaged; for skin use, it is squeezed over the affected area and excess is wiped away with a cotton ball. The bottle cap should be closed tightly after each use, and the product should be stored in a cool, dry place.
