Cowboy Magic Detangler and Shine is a concentrated, water-free and alcohol-free gel formulated to work into hair and coat without drying it out. Silk proteins and panthenol in the formula are worked into wet or dry hair to loosen knots, mats, and dreadlocks, smoothing the hair shaft as it is brushed through. The gel penetrates below the surface of the hair to restore moisture and add strength, leaving a natural, non-greasy shine and a soft texture. Because the formula is concentrated, only a small, nickel-sized amount is needed per application, and no rinsing is required afterward. Once brushed through, the residue left on the coat also helps repel dust, dirt, and sand, which can extend the appearance of the shine between groomings. The gel comes packaged for grooming kits and tack rooms and is intended for horses as well as dogs with longer or easily tangled coats.
