This reflector dome is built for reptile terrariums that need steady heat or light throughout the day. A ceramic socket sits inside the fixture to tolerate the sustained temperatures produced by heating bulbs during extended run times. The exterior is finished in powder-coated black while the interior is powder-coated white to help direct light and warmth back toward the habitat. A six-foot power cord with an inline on/off switch runs from the fixture for convenient placement and daily control. Spring clips are included to attach the dome securely to a terrarium's screen cover. The fixture ships without a bulb, so an incandescent, fluorescent or heat-emitting bulb suited to the dome's wattage must be purchased separately.
