This incandescent spot bulb is built with a heavy-duty filament designed for extended service life inside a standard reflector fixture. It screws into a Zilla Reflector Dome or similar fixture rated for incandescent bulbs and projects a focused beam of heat and light onto a single basking area rather than warming an entire enclosure. The glass construction is engineered for the sustained high temperatures of terrarium basking use. Day White versions use glass with rare earth phosphors to produce a brighter, more naturalistic daylight tone for diurnal species, while Night Red and Night Black versions use tinted glass that keeps visible light low so nocturnal behavior can be observed without disrupting a reptile's day and night cycle. The bulb should be kept away from water contact, used with limited on and off cycling, and allowed to cool before handling. It is intended as a heat and basking light source and does not supply UVB output.
