This pellet diet is built around fish meal, grain, and marine-protein ingredients along with added vitamins and minerals, including stabilized vitamin C. Color-enhancing compounds such as astaxanthin are included to bring out natural pigmentation and help maintain vivid coloration with regular feeding. The pellet is formulated to sink steadily to reach bottom-dwelling and mid-water cichlids and other larger tropical fish without breaking apart or clouding the water column. It is intended as a daily diet fed a few times per day in an amount fish will consume within several minutes, with any uneaten portion removed afterward to protect water quality. The formula is manufactured with a high minimum protein content to support growth and condition. Packaging is available in several container sizes to suit different tank populations and feeding frequencies. Slight variation in pellet color between production lots can occur due to the natural ingredients used.
