This synthetic sea salt is blended to supply the major, minor and trace elements found in natural seawater, without added nitrate or phosphate. It is designed for use in marine and reef aquariums housing fish, invertebrates and corals, and is mixed into dechlorinated tap or purified water rather than used straight from the container. Each batch is tested for consistency, and the granules are formulated to dissolve rapidly into a clear solution suitable for new tank setups or routine partial water changes. The dry salt is white and ships in a sealed bucket, bag or multi-bag box depending on the size selected. A hydrometer or refractometer is used after mixing to check specific gravity before the water is introduced to a tank. No assembly is required; preparation involves stirring the salt into water until fully dissolved and aerating before use with livestock.
