This concentrated shampoo combines pyrethrins with the Precor insect growth regulator to kill fleas, ticks and lice during a normal bath while interrupting flea egg development for weeks afterward. The lathering formula is enriched with oatmeal, coconut extract, lanolin and aloe to help remove loose dandruff, dirt and scales while conditioning the coat. It can be applied full strength or diluted with two parts water, worked into a lather from head to tail, left on for three to five minutes, then rinsed thoroughly with warm water. Labeling calls for use only on dogs, cats, puppies and kittens over 12 weeks of age, and bathing may be repeated every 7 to 10 days for continued adult flea relief. Because most fleas live off the pet in the surrounding environment, the shampoo is intended to be one part of a broader flea and tick control routine. Pet owners are directed to consult a veterinarian before use on medicated, debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals.
