Safari Double Row Flea Dog Comb
This comb features two parallel rows of closely set metal teeth set into a contoured handle designed to sit comfortably in the palm. It is used by brushing through the dog's coat, working from the head toward the tail, to pull fleas and debris out of the fur and to reveal signs of dry or flaky skin. Any tangles should be removed from the coat before combing so the teeth are not damaged, and extra attention should be paid to areas such as the ears, nape of the neck, and base of the tail where fleas often gather. Between strokes the comb is dipped into a cup of water mixed with a small amount of mild detergent to rinse away anything collected on the teeth. The double row of teeth is intended to catch more material per pass than a single row design, making the comb useful on both short and long coats. It is intended for routine use as part of a regular grooming schedule, particularly during periods when fleas are more active.
