Zymox Ear Cleanser is a topical liquid formulated with a combination of proteins, enzymes and gentle cleaning surfactants designed for routine cleaning of dirty, non-infected ears. The formula is built around lactoperoxidase, lactoferrin and lysozyme, natural proteins that give the cleanser its bio-active properties, and it does not rely on detergents, alcohol-based drying agents or harsh chemical cleaners. It is suited for regular at-home ear maintenance in dogs and cats and can be used following a completed course of an enzymatic ear solution. The bottle is shaken before use, then the solution is flushed into the ear canal, massaged at the base of the ear, and any excess wiped away with a cotton ball. Application is generally repeated once or twice weekly for ongoing maintenance, or as directed by a veterinarian. The product is intended for topical use only and is manufactured in the United States.
