This spray delivers a bitter taste on contact to interrupt a dog's urge to bite, chew, or lick fur, skin, bandages, or household items. The formula is water based with isopropanol, bitter principles, and extractives, and it leaves no odor detectable to people once dry. It can be applied directly to a dog's coat or skin to discourage hair chewing and licking around hot spots, as well as to furniture, shoes, or other objects a dog targets. The bottle requires a shake before each use and dispenses through a standard trigger or fine-mist spray top depending on size. No assembly or mixing is needed; the spray is ready to use straight from the bottle. Because the bitter taste fades with contact and moisture, reapplication is typically needed to maintain the deterrent effect.
