Its BioExtract formula uses natural seaweed-derived biopolymers along with added vitamins and minerals to support the growth of beneficial filter bacteria and help maintain clear water. The formula also leaves behind a slime coating on fish that helps protect delicate gills and membranes and supports healing of minor abrasions. It is intended for use when setting up a new aquarium, during partial water changes, or when topping off water lost to evaporation. The bottle cap doubles as a measuring device, with a fill line and capful markings to simplify dosing. The product ships as a liquid concentrate in a plastic bottle and requires no assembly.
