KetoHex Flush is a liquid antiseptic formulated with chlorhexidine gluconate and ketoconazole in a solubilizing vehicle, giving it combined antibacterial and antifungal action along with astringent, cleansing and drying properties. It is intended for topical cleansing of puncture wounds, lacerations, abrasions and superficial skin infections on dogs, cats and horses. The solution comes in a dropper bottle for controlled application directly to the affected area. After application, excess solution should be removed with cotton or another absorbent material, and the area should be allowed to dry before the animal is permitted to lick or resume normal activity. The product is intended for external use only and should be kept away from the eyes and mucous membranes. Frequency of use should follow label directions or the guidance of a treating veterinarian.
