Zimecterin Equine Paste

  • Single-dose control: removes worms and bots in one oral application
  • Weight-based dosing: plunger markings allow accurate dosing by body weight
  • Broad parasite coverage: targets strongyles, pinworms, ascarids, bots and more
  • Wide-use safety profile: suitable for pregnant mares, stallions and foals per label
  • Resistance management: effective against some benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles

This paste combines ivermectin at 1.87 percent concentration with a boticide effect, delivered in a single pre-filled, apple-flavored syringe. The syringe barrel carries weight markings so an owner can dial in a dose matched to the horse's body weight before administration. Paste is deposited on the back of the horse's tongue, and the horse's head is raised briefly afterward to encourage swallowing. One syringe holds enough paste to treat a horse up to 1,250 pounds, with each weight marking on the plunger covering an increment of body weight. The formula is not a benzimidazole or organophosphate, which allows it to remain effective against certain resistant small strongyle populations. It is intended for oral use in horses only and is not approved for other animal species.
