Riptide Waterbased Pyrethrin ULV is an emulsifiable insecticide concentrate that pairs pyrethrins with a piperonyl butoxide synergist in a polymeric, water-based carrier rather than an oil base. The formula is diluted with water before use and is designed for stability in reservoir tanks, automatic misting systems, ULV cold foggers, hose-end sprayers, and directed premise sprays. It is intended for control of mosquitoes and a range of other flying and crawling insects on indoor and outdoor sites, including animal housing and food-handling areas. The concentrate ships in a sealed liquid container and does not include application equipment, so it is paired with existing misting, fogging, or spraying hardware. Reservoir tanks should be shielded from direct sun since high water temperatures can break down pyrethrins, and periodic use of an antimicrobial agent helps keep the diluted solution stable. Label directions call for keeping the working solution in a moderate pH range and for programming automatic systems so they do not release spray while people, pets, or food are present.
