A-Lyte Solution is a ready-to-use aqueous formula containing dextrose, electrolytes, B-complex vitamins and a range of essential amino acids. It is intended for cattle, swine, sheep and horses when normal dietary intake is reduced, such as during transport, weaning or periods of reduced appetite. The solution is added to fresh drinking water at a labeled rate based on body weight and species, with the dosed water offered for consumption within one day. Electrolytes including sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium and calcium are included to help maintain water absorption, while the amino acid profile approximates the ratio found in normal blood plasma. Each bottle holds 500 mL of liquid and is packaged for use in drinking water systems or buckets. The product should be stored at controlled room temperature and protected from freezing, and fresh water should be supplied daily alongside dosing.
