The Zilla Cricket Water Pillow is a soft polymer pad designed to hold water and release it gradually to feeder insects and hermit crabs housed in a terrarium or carrier. Once soaked in water, the polymer absorbs and retains moisture, releasing it steadily over time rather than drying out quickly the way a paper towel or sponge would. Keepers simply place the moistened pillow inside the enclosure, giving crickets or hermit crabs a hydration point that does not pose a drowning hazard the way an open water dish can. When the pillow dries out, it can be rinsed and re-soaked in a cup or bowl of water for repeated use. The pack includes multiple pillows so a fresh one is on hand while another is drying or being cleaned. Pillows should be replaced once visibly soiled to keep the water source clean for the animals using it.
