The Bark Bend recreates the look of a fallen log, giving reptiles and amphibians a curved, hollow hide that blends into both terrestrial and aquatic terrarium setups. Openings on each end let animals enter and exit freely, while a viewing window on top lets keepers check on activity without lifting the piece or disturbing the animal inside. The exterior has a non-porous synthetic finish that resists bacterial growth and will not rot or absorb moisture the way real bark does. Routine cleaning only requires a wash with warm, soapy water followed by a thorough rinse before the piece goes back into the habitat. Because the tunnel shape encourages digging, climbing and exploring, the hide suits burrowing species as well as animals that simply want a covered resting spot. No assembly is needed; the piece is ready to place directly into a terrarium or aquatic enclosure once cleaned.
