This screen cover is built from black wire mesh set into a steel frame designed to sit on top of a reptile terrarium. The mesh construction lets air pass freely into and out of the enclosure while also resisting scratching and clawing from pets housed inside. The frame and screening are built to tolerate the heat given off by lamps and heating fixtures mounted above the terrarium. Each cover is sold as a single lid sized to rest on a specific terrarium footprint, and it is intended to be measured against the opening of the tank before use. For added security against determined climbers, the cover can be paired with separately sold screen clips, locks, or a cord access port. The frame is designed to keep its shape and function over repeated daily use.
