This substrate combines sphagnum peat moss and aged fir shavings into a loamy, organic bedding designed for tropical and forest-style terrariums. The blend absorbs and holds moisture, helping to sustain a humid microclimate inside an enclosure. Its soft, loose texture gives burrowing and digging reptiles and amphibians a comfortable surface for nesting, breeding and egg incubation. A bedding depth of one to two inches is recommended once the mix is poured into the habitat and shaped as needed. Waste and soiled patches should be spot-removed daily, with a full bedding change recommended monthly or as conditions require. The bag itself needs no assembly and can be poured directly into a terrarium.
