This liquid calcium supplement comes in an 8 fluid ounce spray bottle formulated for reptiles and amphibians, including bearded dragons, geckos, chameleons, monitors, boas, pythons, corn snakes, frogs, toads, turtles, tortoises, and hermit crabs. The formula is applied by spraying it onto crickets, mealworms, mice, vegetables, or other usual food items, then allowing about 15 seconds to dry before offering the food to the pet. For animals showing signs of calcium deficiency, a small number of drops can be given directly into the mouth. The base ingredients are water, calcium gluconate, calcium carbonate, calcium chloride, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, and xanthan gum. Regular use is intended to complement a varied diet and appropriate UVA/UVB lighting, since most reptile and amphibian species need that light exposure to process calcium effectively. The bottle should be shaken before each use and stored away from direct sunlight.
