Vita Prima Rat & Mouse Food is a dry blend built around vitamin-fortified pellets combined with whole and ground grains such as oat groats, wheat and sorghum, along with soybean products, sunflower seeds, and dehydrated fruits and vegetables like carrots, apple and sweet potato. The varied pieces and textures are designed to give rats and mice an assortment of shapes and flavors to sort through, mimicking the kind of foraging they would do in the wild. The formula includes added vitamins A, D and E along with a blend of live microorganisms intended to support the diet's nutritional profile. It contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The food is packaged in a resealable bag and is meant to be offered fresh daily in a clean, heavy dish alongside constant access to water. Owners are advised to supplement the diet with fresh leafy greens and chopped vegetables, and to introduce the food gradually if switching from another diet.
