Garden Select Adult Chinchilla Food is a uniform, fortified pellet diet built around three sources of high-fiber grass hay for digestive support, along with garden ingredients such as whole yellow pea, tomato pomace, rosemary, and thyme for added flavor variety. The formula is Project Non-GMO certified and contains no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors. Antioxidants and prebiotics are included to help support whole body health, and the diet supplies a full complement of daily recommended vitamins and minerals in every serving. The pellets are intended to be fed alongside unlimited access to grass hay, with alfalfa hay offered only occasionally. When switching a chinchilla to this food, a gradual transition over about four weeks is recommended, mixing increasing proportions of the new food with the current diet. The bag is a dry, shelf-stable pelleted product suited for daily feeding as part of a balanced small animal diet.
