Crunchy Bears are small, teddy bear-shaped snacks baked for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small companion animals. Each bite is formulated with wheat flour, corn flour, corn protein concentrate and a touch of vanilla, giving it a firm, crunchy texture and a mild sweet aroma. The hard bite is meant to give small animals something to gnaw on, since their teeth continue growing throughout life. The recipe leaves out artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, relying instead on natural sources like malt extract and paprika extract for color. Owners can offer the treat by placing a few pieces on top of regular food, in a separate dish, or by hand as a reward. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times alongside any treat feeding.
