Ceragyn Uterine Lavage is a sterile liquid solution formulated for use in mares susceptible to persistent or chronic endometritis and other uterine pathologies. The formula is built around a proprietary technology combined with polysorbate 20, hydroxyethylcellulose, a saline base, and lactic acid. The full contents of the bottle are diluted with one liter of sterile lactated ringers before being administered into the uterus with a sterile catheter under strict aseptic technique. It is intended for intrauterine use only and treatment may be repeated multiple times during a mare's natural or induced estrus period. The product is packaged in a bottle designed for single-use dilution and is meant for use by or under the direction of a licensed veterinarian. It is for animal use only and should be kept out of reach of children.
