Dr. Naylor Teat Dilators are soft, disposable inserts placed in the teat canal to support animals recovering from teat injury. Each dilator arrives coated in a lubricating ointment blended from petrolatum, lanolin, beeswax, and related conditioning ingredients to ease insertion and help the dilator stay in place between milkings. The design is meant to keep the streak canal open so milk continues to flow while damaged tissue heals, and it is intended to assist in reducing scar tissue buildup that can obstruct the canal. The formula contains no antibiotics. A box holds 40 individually packed dilators, each intended for a single insertion before being discarded and replaced. Routine use involves cleaning and disinfecting the teat end before each new dilator is inserted and again after it is removed at milking.
