This product is a natural pine tar formulation packaged for topical use on horse hooves. It is applied to the hoof wall, frog, sole, and area below the coronet band to help the hoof retain moisture and stay flexible, and it carries antiseptic, germicidal properties suited to everyday hoof hygiene. The tar can be worked in with a brush after the hoof is washed and dried, and it may also be used as a hoof pack prior to shoeing. In cool weather the product can thicken; softening it in a container of warm water restores an easy-to-apply consistency. The can should be closed after each use and kept out of reach of children, as the contents are not intended for human use. It is intended for external, topical application on horses only.
