This tattoo ink paste is a heavy, creamy green pigment designed for marking the skin of livestock and small animals for identification purposes. The paste ships in a resealable tube that helps keep the formula from drying out between uses. Application involves cleaning and drying the area to be marked, applying a coating of ink, making an imprint with a tattoo instrument, and then rubbing additional paste into the resulting punctures. The concentrated pigment is intended to penetrate the skin so the mark stays legible for the life of the animal. The paste is non-toxic and suited to common species including cattle, sheep, hogs, goats, and rabbits. A separate tattoo instrument is required for application and is not included with the ink itself.
