This wound barrier gel is a thick hydrogel built around a synthesized form of hypochlorous acid, an antimicrobial compound also produced naturally by the body during immune response. The formula is combined with electrolyzed water, sodium chloride, and other buffering agents to create a gel that clings to the site of application rather than running off. It is intended for moistening and debriding wounds, abrasions, burns, pressure sores, post-surgical incisions, and other dermal or mucosal irritations, and it can also be used to moisten and lubricate absorbent wound dressings. Each bottle is shaken before use, then applied directly to the affected area, with a bandage placed over the site if additional coverage is needed. The gel is designed to remain in place and evaporate slowly rather than needing to be wiped away. It is manufactured in an FDA QSR compliant facility using electrolyzed water technology.
