VetRx Rabbit Aid is a liquid remedy made from a blend of essential oils, including Canada balsam, camphor, oil of origanum, and oil of rosemary, suspended in a corn oil base with a small amount of alcohol USP. The bottle includes a dropper cap so the liquid can be measured and applied by the drop. Before use the bottle is shaken well and then warmed in a pan of water until it reaches a comfortable temperature, with the temperature always tested before it touches the rabbit. Warm drops are placed on each side of the nostrils and on any scabbed areas to support respiratory comfort, and the same warmed liquid can be applied to the ears with a cotton swab to address ear mites or canker. A small amount can also be added to drinking water as a complementary step. The product is intended for topical and water-additive use only and leaves a light oily residue on skin and fur that does not burn the skin or remove hair.
