Advantage Treatment Spray for Cats is a liquid pesticide formulated for topical application on the coat of cats older than seven months. The pump-style bottle releases a steady, quiet mist that coats fur evenly from head to tail, reducing the handling stress associated with traditional aerosol sprays. Two active ingredient groups work together: an insect growth regulator halts the development of immature fleas so they cannot mature into biting adults, while a botanical insecticide combination knocks down and kills fleas, ticks and lice on contact. The spray is applied directly to the animal, covering the head, ears, chest, back, and legs while avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth. The coat should be allowed to dry fully before the cat is permitted to groom itself, and application can be repeated as needed at intervals of no less than seven days for adult cats.
