Along with adjusting pH, the powder detoxifies heavy metals commonly found in tap water and adds aloe vera and electrolytes intended to ease stress on fish during setup or maintenance. Each container includes a measuring scoop, and the powder is shaken well before being added directly to the aquarium or pre-dissolved in a separate container of tank water. It is intended for freshwater use only and is not recommended for aquariums that contain live plants, since the buffering compounds can bind trace nutrients plants need. Dosing is based on tank volume, with retesting recommended so an additional dose can be added if pH drifts.
