This hand antiseptic combines a high concentration of ethyl alcohol with an emollient-rich lotion base designed to clean hands quickly without water, soap, or a brush. It is intended for use by surgical and healthcare personnel as part of routine hand hygiene before patient or animal contact, including prior to surgical procedures. The formula is dye-free and fragrance-free, and it is designed to dry quickly without leaving a sticky residue on the skin. Moisturizing ingredients such as glycerin and dimethicone are included to help offset the drying effects common to frequent alcohol-based hand rubs. The product comes in a pump-style bottle for controlled, mess-free dispensing and is applied directly to clean, dry hands and allowed to air dry without wiping. It is formulated to be compatible with chlorhexidine gluconate products and with latex and non-latex exam gloves.
