Controlled Iodine Spray is a liquid antiseptic built around a polyethoxylated nonylphenol iodine complex that supplies titratable iodine in a nonionic surfactant and water base. Each 16 oz bottle is fitted with an adjustable trigger sprayer that can be set to deliver either a fine spray or a direct stream, and bottles ship twelve to a case for barn or clinic stocking. The formula is intended for topical use on cattle, horses, swine and sheep, including light application ahead of routine procedures, on the navel area of newborn animals, and on minor cuts, teat sores, bruises and abrasions. To apply, the cap is removed and the bottle refilled from a bulk gallon container as needed, the cap is replaced tightly, and the nozzle is held four to six inches from the treatment area before a light spray is triggered. Application may be repeated daily until the area is healed. The product carries cautions against swallowing, contact with eyes or mucous membranes, and inhalation of mist, and it should be stored tightly closed, out of direct light, at a controlled room temperature.
