Dectomax Pour-On for Cattle

  • Active ingredient: doramectin at 0.5% w/v (5 mg per mL)
  • Application method: poured topically along the midline of the back
  • Weatherproof formula: efficacy is not affected by rainfall after drying
  • Broad coverage: labeled for roundworms, lungworms, eyeworms, grubs, lice, horn flies and mange mites
  • Species specific: formulated for cattle only, not for use in other animals

This pour-on solution is a clear, light blue liquid containing doramectin, a fermentation-derived compound applied topically to cattle. It is measured out by body weight and poured along the midline of the back in a narrow strip between the withers and tailhead. The formulation is designed to remain effective across a range of weather conditions, including rainfall, once applied to the coat. It is intended for use on beef cattle of various ages and classes as part of a broader parasite management program. Bottles are supplied in different volumes to match herd size, with larger containers intended for use with a separate application gun. Hands should be washed after handling, and the product should not be used near heat or open flame, or ingested.
