Elanco Expert Care Tapeworm Tablets for Cats

This dewormer is supplied as scored tablets in a small bottle, each tablet containing praziquantel as the active ingredient. It is intended for cats and kittens six weeks of age and older and targets the two tapeworm species most commonly found in household cats, Dipylidium caninum and Taenia taeniaeformis. Tablets may be given directly by mouth or crumbled and mixed into a normal meal, and no fasting is required before or after dosing. Dosage is determined by the cat's body weight, with fractional tablet amounts used for smaller cats and larger amounts for heavier cats. The product should be stored at room temperature and kept away from children, as it is not intended for human use. Owners are advised to check with a veterinarian before dosing a cat that is weak, debilitated, or already ill.
