Hikari Cichlid Gold Baby Pellet is a small floating pellet built around fish meal, grains and shrimp meal, formulated for cichlids and other larger tropical fish, including oscars. The tiny pellet diameter suits the small mouths of fry and juvenile cichlids, making the food easy for young fish to locate and consume. Natural carotenoid pigments and added astaxanthin work to bring out and maintain vivid coloration over time, while stabilized vitamin C is included to support immune system function. Because it floats rather than sinks, the pellet lets a hobbyist watch how much is eaten and stops uneaten food from settling into substrate. The formula is designed not to dissolve or cloud aquarium water when fed as directed. Packaging is a resealable pouch, and the food is intended as a daily diet rather than an occasional treat.
