The formula also includes brewers dried yeast, corn gluten meal, wheat starch, rice bran, spirulina, garlic, and stabilized vitamin C along with a full vitamin and mineral package. The pellet is designed to float, which lets keepers watch how much food is being consumed rather than having it sink out of sight. Floating pellets allow easy monitoring of the amount eaten, which helps eliminate over-feeding, and the food will not cloud water. Feeding guidance calls for offering the pellets two to three times daily in an amount the fish will completely consume in a few minutes, with care taken to avoid over-feeding and to remove uneaten food after each feeding to protect water quality.
