This hand-feeding formula is an instant powder designed to be mixed with hot water into a pudding-like consistency before being fed to baby birds by spoon or syringe. The recipe includes added vitamins, minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, digestive enzymes, and probiotic Bacillus species to support a bird's growth, digestion, and developing plumage during the earliest weeks of life. It is intended for macaws, eclectus, hawk-headed parrots, African parrots, caiques, and other baby birds under two weeks old that need an increased-energy diet, and is not recommended for cockatoos. The flavor and ingredient profile is designed to align with companion adult and conversion diets so chicks can transition to solid food with less digestive upset. Each batch of formula should be freshly mixed immediately before feeding and any leftover mixture discarded rather than reused. The powder comes packaged in a resealable bag sized for repeated hand-feeding sessions during the hand-rearing period.
