This starter kit centers on a wire-top cage with a deep plastic base sized to contain bedding and keep mess off the floor. The plastic base separates from the wire enclosure for cleaning, and the wire frame uses one inch bar spacing along with chew resistant latches and locks to keep a guinea pig contained. The cage snaps together without any tools, making initial setup straightforward for new pet owners. Along with the habitat, the kit bundles Clean and Cozy bedding, a water bottle and a food dish so a new guinea pig has the basics needed from day one. A mail-in rebate toward Kaytee guinea pig food is also included with purchase. The kit is intended as an entry-level home for a single young guinea pig getting started in a new environment.
