These hay cubes are made by compressing sun-cured timothy hay and sun-cured alfalfa hay into firm, chewable blocks sized for small animal treats. The blend combines the high fiber content of timothy hay with the texture and variety of alfalfa, giving pets a natural item to gnaw and forage on. Lower protein and calcium levels compared to straight alfalfa are intended to support urinary health when the cubes are fed as an occasional treat rather than a primary food source. The cubes are meant to complement a fortified daily diet, not replace it, and are suited to rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and other small herbivorous pets. Fresh water should be available whenever the cubes are offered, and the product should be stored in a cool, dry location. Cubes can be broken into smaller pieces for portion control.
