  • Rapid readout: reagent pad changes color within about 15 seconds of contact
  • Dip and read: no equipment needed beyond a fresh urine sample
  • Built-in reference: color chart printed directly on the bottle label
  • Moisture protection: bottle includes a desiccant to preserve strip accuracy

This product is a dip-and-read urinalysis strip built from a thin plastic carrier with a chemically treated reagent pad affixed to one end. The pad reacts with a fresh urine sample and changes color to indicate the concentration of ketone (acetoacetic acid) present. Strips are supplied in a plastic bottle that includes a desiccant to protect the reagent from moisture and a printed color reference chart on the label for interpreting results. The test is intended for in vitro diagnostic use only and is designed for quick, at-a-glance screening rather than laboratory-grade quantification. No assembly or additional equipment is required beyond a urine sample and a timer. Bottles should be recapped promptly after each use to preserve strip performance until the labeled expiration date.
